See what I mean, Possible 3rd Winter American Herring Gull, 2nd Winter Azorean Yellow-legged Gull AND the elusive 1w Ring-billed Gull all reported from the Hayle Estuary today. And I’m stuck in the house with coughing kids. Grrrrrrrr. Can’t wait for this half-term to be over!

Elsewhere of interest today, the two female American Wigeon remain on the Gannel Estuary, Newquay and there’s a Great White Egret knocking about near Truro, seen flying over there at 5pm yesterday. Lets hope its heading towards Hayle! There are still a few bits around according to the Cornwall Birding website yesterday, including the King Eider off Meanporth, Falmouth, the Little Bunting near Gulval, the Pacific Diver still ranging from Roseland Peninsular to Mounts Bay and a Kumlien’s Gull at Coverack.
