You just never know what’s going to turn up in your garden! Having done my fatherly duties at two Nativity plays I had chance to nip home for some lunch. On arriving home I noticed a rather slim looking ‘Collared’ Dove silhouetted on the overhead wires outside my house. As I got out of the car I immediately realised it was a TURTLE DOVE!! This species is becoming really scarce in Cornwall and was the first one I’d seen all year AND a garden tick! Fortunately it hung around long enough for me to get the camera for a record shot for the doubting Thomas’s!Turtle Dove, 261214
